Our Team
Our History
How it all began...
Grupo Ilú was our first entrepreneurial experience; it was an enriching period where we set out on a mission to create original applications and websites that met the expectations of emerging entrepreneurs across Venezuela.
Having our own business had been a dream for us as university students until 2008, when we founded Grupo Ilú.
Passion for ideas...
Four years later, we entered a new phase with a renewed work team. We became Apök.
It clicked immediately
We chose a name that would honor the love we feel for Venezuela. We opted for Apök, which means "fire" in the Pemón language.
Legend has it that the first humans, Makunaimö and his brother Chikö, obtained fire by taking a lit branch from Mutuk, the fire bird. The name clicked immediately!
From three programmers and one designer, we grew little by little with great effort and dedication, helping entrepreneurs make their digital projects a reality. We were even fortunate enough to cross borders. We have always wanted to offer our collaborators the same freedom we dreamed of at the beginning.
One's success is everyone's success!
